In every music system that exists the volume must be controlled somehow. Be it an ordinary potentiometer, a ladder rotary switch, a digital encoder, a multi-tap transformer - some way is necessary and each has its pros and cons. We at Lampizator spent 16 years dealing with this issue and at the end ofd it we came up with our own way - the best we can make regardless of the budget or technology or space constraints. The SuperVolume was born.

Yes it is prohibitively stupid crazy expensive, we understand - but it is what it is - we know there are the no-compromise people who will want it.

Next Generation Volume Control system

A quiet revolution at Lampizator that is a result of one year development in the background, a joined effort of Lampizator and external R&D powers

Resulting design is unique and has no equivalent in the world (that we know of)

Features important for the end user

It is totally linear, fully transparent, fully analog and fully discrete system and the tracking accuracy between 4 phases /channels is below 1%.
Up to 200 steps possible plus bypass and mute (reduced by software to 100 useful steps on linear curve
Totally silent operation
Better precision and tracking linearity
Cleaner, more open sound with inner details previously buried.

Can be easily offered as a retrofit upgrade
Can be bundled as upgrades with E12 or USB etc.
Nobody offers this quality of sound from VC
New preamp and passive pre will be on another level
It has the same footprint as old VC board
It has the same mounting holes and wiring points as old system
It draws 1/30 of the current so it doesn’t require any separate transformer or big PSU like the old system
Installation time is cut in half (for balanced systems)
Life expectancy is infinite (number of cycles as well)
Works with the old volume processor and displays
Only one board for balanced, versus double decker sandwich in old system
Total elimination of relays (precise miniature mechanical device that is the culprit of 90% of defects)

Business perspective

All new upper level DACs - Poseidon, Pacific and Horizon - will have SuperVolume as standard.

All other new build DACs will have the SuperVolume configurable at somewhat premium price, normal volumes will remain in the offer.

Neptune preamp will have SQ of the world top preamps

Passive preamp is ultra transparent and pure. Super sound for less. New product for us to sell. Also worthy of the Aphrodite.

New build DACs can be ordered from 5th of May 2026.

Retrofit upgrades can be ordered from 1st of January 2027

Compatibility

All old DACS and preamps equipped with our remote volume system. The old systems we used before:

2010 to 2015: Taras System,

2014-2018 DanZup system

2018-2026 - Khozmo system

All new builds are "possible" but at extra cost, except that the upper echelon products like the Horizon, Poseidon and Pacific and Neptune preamp - cost is included.
Retro-fit upgrades are available from us.
